Instructors
Om bolo sat guru bhagavan ki jai! The teacher within me, the divine, life experience is my true teacher Hallelujah!"
Teachers at Mandala are chosen because of their in-depth yoga training, a commitment to personal practice and continuing yoga education and for pursuing the yogic path off the mat as well in service to our local and world community. Introduce yourself, ask questions after class and let us know your needs and desires. You are at the center of the Mandala and we love to hear from you.

Her yoga classes guide you to maintain a steady synchronicity of breath and movement as a way to experience a deep listening of Self. There is often Ayurvedic wisdom and tools for daily well-being woven throughout. As a student of the classic Ashtanga system she returns to that particular tradition to shape much of her sequencing. It's a practice that celebrates a vibrant life both on and off the mat.

RYT-500 Awakened Life School of Yoga
The style of yoga that I teach is vinyasa, which directly translates “to place in a particular way.” In linking breath & movement, my classes are designed to bring your awareness to the present moment while strengthening the mind/body connection. We will practice different pranayama techniques to help you breathe into each asana & cultivate your spiritual connection with the practice.
Leah’s classes are beautifully paced, carefully sequenced and led with delicate instruction.
Leah graduated from Georgetown University in 2001, completed a 200 hour training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in 2003, the 500 hour teacher training at Yoga Shanti in 2004 and the 500 hour Urban Zen training in 2010.

RYT-500 Yoga Works
I believe we all bring our own stories to our mat. My story has some twists and turns through a tough childhood in inner city Philadelphia. I credit yoga and meditation with helping me become a healthier and more aware person. Yoga has opened my eyes to a world of positive opportunities. I’m truly grateful to now be able to share what I’ve learned with others.
Each class that I teach has its own beat, a vibration, and its own pulse. I choose each pose with alignment based focus that I believe helps us deepen our yoga experience. I use my dance background to help create interesting and original sequencing that allows my students to move like themselves. I believe that through movement, we thrive. Through movement we can find our own rhythm and connect to our own truth.
