Cleansing
Our Natural State
According to Ayurveda, our natural state is one of health, happiness and an inner sense of well-being. Health is defined as the body being clear of toxins, the mind is at peace, emotions are calm and happy, wastes are efficiently eliminated and organs are functioning normally. In a busy, stressful and toxic world, our physical and mental systems accumulate toxins causing deterioration in bodily functioning. This eventually weakens our systems, which opens the door for chronic, degenerative, and non-specific diseases to develop. These can evolve into serious specific diseases, ultimately damaging an individual's health and wellness.

The Spring Cleanse
The Spring Cleanse is an eating cleanse combining whole foods, fresh juices, Ayurvedic herbs and access to Yoga and body therapies to literally clean your cell tissues from the inside out. A simple but specific alkaline diet nourishes your body with a nutritionally balanced combination of foods and grains to support health at its most basic level.
Each day begins with a quart of fresh juice. You can make it at home or go to one of several places in our community to have it made for you. You will eat up to three whole meals a day which include quinoa, millet, vegetables, fruits, almonds, and walnuts. You can use raw olive oil and flax oil, maple syrup, honey, Braggs aminos, and more. Each day you will also drink a lemonade-like master cleanse. For three days you will add a delicious citrus-based drink to your morning which supports a gentle liver flush. And at the core of the ten days you will eat green food only with the guidance of delicious, satisfying recipes. The Cleanse adds back slowly, so you end up eating everything off the Master Food List.
All cleanses can be done individually or in groups. Click to sign up or email Jolie with questions.
"Just a quick note to let you know that I've made it to Day 10 of the cleanse! And I wanted to let you know that this has been a wonderful and enlightening experience! I had been an avid cook and after having my baby girl, I hadn't been in the kitchen cooking for a while and it's spurred my love for delicious, healthy, home cooked meals again! The emails that I referenced for each day of the cleanse provided great support (i.e. I really was cold on the green days and also said "thank god for avocados"!). I definitely plan to visit you when I get to come out East this summer."

Spring Cleanse Frequently Asked Questions
Fall/Winter Cleanse
This is an Ayurvedic home cleanse aimed at helping the body eliminate toxins, stimulate lymph cleansing, activate fat burning and quiet the mind. It is a great cleanse to do at the change of seasons, a few times a year and any time you are experiencing the effects of ama (undigested food) in your body. Ama is often experienced as sluggishness, allergies, white coating on the tongue, weight gain, constipation and lethargy. The detoxifying effects of this cleanse are greatly enhanced with ayurvedic warm oil treatments, especially on days 4 through 8 and even on day 9, the day after the cleanse.
This cleanse involves internal oiling/oleation, using a sweet ghee drink each morning and external oleation, self massage and professional warm oil treatments, combined with simple eating. The main meal is Indian kichari, a stew of split mung beans, basmati rice vegetables and herbs. Although other non fa foods may be enjoyed as well. This process is followed with purging, and to complete the cleanse, nourishing the colon. Key ingredients for this cleanse include kicharee and ghee. Email Jolie with any questions.
Jolie Parcher is available year-round for hands-on treatments, and Kimberly Larson and Terrel Broussard are available during the summer and periodically throughout the year. Email info@mandalayoga.com
